The core business of Access World is the manufacture and hire of Aluminium Scaffold Towers, but since 1999, we have provided scaffold training as a service to our clients. However, new regulations, including the requirement of a License to Operate by any persons erecting or dismantling aluminium scaffolding, necessitated the creation of a dedicated entity to professionally cater for the training of Scaffold Erectors.

As a result, Access World, in association with other scaffolding industry members, the IWH (Institute for Work at Height) and SETA, have introduced formalised training for scaffold erectors and supervisors. Our original training manual and other industry-specific material has been adopted into this formalised training by SETA. Competency certificates are issued by the "Institute for Work at Height" in line with SETA rules and regulations. We are a SETA accredited training provider in line with Unit Standards 243275 (Erection and Dismantle of Prefabricated Aluminium Alloy Scaffolding). This ensures that our clients continue to receive the best possible service and expertise available within the scaffold industry. We have three competent assessors, one moderator and two trainers for this skills development process. Training is conducted at our premises in our purpose-built ASDA (Access Skills Development Academy) facility.

We have developed 2 training courses. The first course caters for a worker/learner who has not had any previous training, and the second, Refresher/Assessment course caters for a worker/learner who has had previous training in Scaffolding.
